Memories
Julie Love-Ott Kenwood next door neighbor January 18, 2013

To All of the Rambke Family:

I learned of Dan's untimely passing from my sister in law, Joyce.  I am so saddened by your loss.  All of the members of your family make up a patchwork of happy childhood memories for me.  Your family always welcomed me into their home and I think of you frequently.  I remember Dan's ready smile and sense of adventure.  I know that he is at peace and wish the same for each of you.  The mention of his name makes me smile, thinking of all of the fun times we had playing games in the street and sitting on your front porch.  I send long distance hugs to each of you.

Warmly,

Julie Love-Ott

To the Rambke Family
Please accept my sympathies for your loss. I haven't seen Dan in so many years and was saddened by the news of his passing at such a young age.

I have many happy memories of Dan with his unfogettable smile that gained him instant friendship to people he met for the first time. He had a great passion for music and loved to share new tunes with friends. His laugh and humor always managed to get me out of a slump.

Best wishes,
David Paul

John Nuber (Nubes) Fare thee well... January 14, 2013

Danny,

I can't believe that you're gone. It's been 40 years since we met, and you have always been close to my heart. It's so sad that time the miles drew us apart, but I guess that's the way things are when you grow up. I haven't seen you for three years, but I'll love you forever.

I'd like to leave you with the lyrics to a song. You know the song, you know the artist:

"Fare you well, my honey, fare you well my only true one.
All the birds that were singing are flown, except you alone.

Going to leave this brokedown palace,
On my hand and knees, I will roll, roll, roll.
Make myself a bed in the waterside,
In my time, I will roll, roll roll.

In a bed, in a bed, by the waterside I will lay my head.
Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul.

River going to take me, sing sweet and sleepy,
Sing me sweet and sleepy all the way back home.
Its a far gone lullaby, sung many years ago.
Mama, mama many worlds Ive come since I first left home.

Goin home, goin home, by the riverside I will rest my bones,
Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul.

Going to plant a weeping willow,
On the banks green edge it will grow, grow, grow.
Sing a lullaby beside the water,
Lovers come and go, the river roll, roll, roll.

Fare you well, fare you well, I love you more than words can tell,
Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul."

Goodbye, my friend, I'll always love you and miss you forever.
